Temporary Disabled Access to Pool Area

An owner at Bay Scene has made a request to have temporary disabled access provided to the pool area. At this time, as a member of the Association, it is being requested to ask if you are interested in this improvement to be installed onsite.

The owner has found a company willing to rent a device that has its own seat and safety restraints, NO installation costs, and would safely transport the person from their room and down or up the stairs leading to the pool area. This would be through a company called 101 Mobility. Currently they have presented the owner with a quote for $1,500.00 plus tax for the first 3 months, and $500.00/month thereafter.

The installation walks the person down or up the stairs safely using retractable wheels and a sensor braking system to avoid unsafe ascents/descents. It is to be operated by certified personnel that the company will train. The training for 4 people is included in the initial 3-month cost. Any additional training would be an $395.00 for 4 people. The more people that can be found to use it, the more it can lessen the cost per person.

This owner is requesting the assistance of all other members to find out if there is any interest from others in participating in this temporary rental solution to have access to the pool area, since the current structural renovation is expected to take 2 years.. The device is called a Liftkar PT-S.
